Morristown, NJ - National Historial Park. Henry Wick built this Cape Cod Style house around 1750. His 1,400 acre farm, most of which was covered by forest, made him the largest landowner in Morristown. Henry Wick's trees attracted Washington's army to the area as a winter encampment site because they needed logs to build cabins for shelter and wood to burn for heating and cooking.
**Tempe Wick Road is the best entrance.

West Orange, NJ - Stunning views of NYC. A 400+ acre park along the Watchung Mountains ridge line located between West Orange, Montclair and Verona. The 40 mile Lenape Trail (yellow blazes) skirts the eastern edge of the park. The hiking trails and footpaths that crisscross the woodland (and sometimes boggy) areas of the park are friendly for hikers of all ages and abilities.
